USS PT-333, an 80-foot ELCO type motor torpedo boat placed in service in May 1943 as part of Motor Boat Squadron TWENTY FOUR, served along the northern coast of New Guinea during most of 1944. Late in that year she went to the Philippines, where her squadron was employed off Mindoro and in the southern part of the archipelago until the end of World War II. Along with many other motor torpedo boats based in the Philippines, PT-333 was stripped and destroyed in November 1945.
