thanks Ms Poppy for waking me up this morning with a good hearty laugh. i haven't registered a proper name here bc i use various different machines every day and due to security concerns anything i do is constantly getting erased. but you know me! ;) i'm sorry but i admit i do get a bit abrasive sometimes, you can't help your nature eh? i'll have more fun knowing you are out there, ethereal friend--signed, fyi

The cheating artemis is a ray of sunshine? Whoa, fyi! Granted, she has good pics but the votes are tweaked by her (still). Anyway, you keep coming back because you cannot stay away. ;-) I wish you'd register a proper name and stick to it instead of being split in so many different 'directions'. You have a sharp wit and frequently come up with some really funny quips but – and there always is a but – you can also be too abrasive, and take the English language to the gutter where it does not belong. I have learned your language the hard way and hate to see the ‘natives’ abuse it in such a way. OK, preaching over; peace to you, fyi! P.S. You appear to have learned to take better care of your car keys, eh? But the coffee pot you still forget to turn off…

The adult male Platycryptus lurks in singles bars in sleazy neighborhoods, nursing its drink until it spots a likely mate, which it identiifes by the female's brilliant array of feathery bright orange tendrils. The male then slowly circles the female, grunting its mating call rythmically in basso profundo... "Louie Louie, oh baby, said we gotta go." If the male arouses the female's interest and has the attributes which cause the female to instinctively consider him an appropriate mate ( hand fulla dollars, pocket fulla herb..El Dorado Cadillac parked at the curb ) she will communicate her receptiveness by uttering her own mating cry "You really got me now, you got me so I don't know what I'm doin now, oh yeah you really got me now..." The precise physical mechanics of coupling are not yet well understood, and further study is recommended.

Huh? Generally, one finds comments that have something to do with the picture in question. Your comments, although interesting, do not do this. Are you trying to start a new trend? You gave a mini-lecture on Roman baths under one of my pictures (which was not a picture of Roman baths), and I was somewhat intrigued by your motives then, as I am now. Somehow, I now expect you to answer by giving a detailed description of the mating habits of Platycryptus undatus. Surprise me.

There's a typical Obama voter metaphor in this picture.
