Hahaha it was a worthy piece of junk meant to be cheap and to do little kilometers on a daily basis. Nonetheless it was enjoyable to drive with an "who cares about" look. An economical French car that'a all. The Bug was 20 liters of gas for 100 kms. French engineering R4 was 6 or 7 liters 100 kilometers. So what about the mighty German bug now ??

Why it attained ANY status is a mystery. It is a rattly, uncomfortable piece of French engineering. Went on a loooong vacation trip once back in the early 70s - VW bug was way better!
