Also the photograph was taken during the time the Chicago river bridges open up, letting the boats coming out from "hibernation".

Yes. Chicago. The location is Wacker drive/Chicago river, generally, the north side of the Loop. The building under construction is Chicago's Trump International Hotel and Tower, which, mercifully, is replacing the lurid Sun Times building that had been squandering that site since 1957. I cant say that I am in love with this latest Trump confection, but what can you do? Trump Tower is an Adrian Smith creation for Skidmore,Owings&Merrill. The building will sit in very good company, as you see looking toward the horizon, you will see the Wrigley Building (Chas. Beersman for Graham, Anderson,Probst&White) Tribune Tower (Raymond Hood) Jewelers Building (now Stone Container) Merchandise Mart, etc etc etc. If you like architecture, you should love a stroll around this area-in any time of year or time of day or night. If, however, you LOVE architecture, this particular little corner of the earth is intoxicating to the point of being hallucinatory.
