I don't know and don't care about voting, but it would be nice if the photos would be identified. It strikes me as lazy and careless not to do so. Where is this? The only reason I take the time to check comments is to find out what a photo is.

I am quite sure there will be a way to have the pics date-stamped. Meanwhile, we could all add the upload date to the tags, the way I am already doing... But the date has to have the month in letters as opposed to numbers, because the US and European date usages are different.

Perhaps Pixdaus could put a date stamp on each pic somehow and if someone found an earlier post of it they could bring it up and cancel out the new posting - I am not a computer person -but isn't there some way of creating a system for that?

I'm sorry Observer, I was upset with someone else here who has done alot of downvoting to everyone's pics, and when you posted this particular picture, I assumed you were that person. I don't care much about reposts, it's hard not to have some with the system here, I have done it myself many times, but I think we should try to watch what is posted recently, what bothered me is the constant downvoting of lots of people here. but until pixdaus does something about this, I guess there's not much sense in complaining about it.

Ooops...Sorry...did anybody notice that between the big rock with the trees on it and the nearest rock with the wave breaking on it there's one that looks like it has a statue of a little old man sittin' on it wearing a beret and staring out to sea ?

...I guess each of us has a particular poster that reposts our pics, but Observer is not one of mine. If he is one yours, that is not right. The trouble is this: Each of us has a poster or two or three that has it 'in' for us. What can we do about it? Not much. They stay in the shadows, they donwvote our pics and upvote their own... how can we retaliate?

I disagree poppy observer reposts my pics constantly...and with his other nicks too

Thanks WitchGirl, good to see you here, I wanted to comment on your golden retriever pic the other day I remembered you had one too, but I knew it would be downvoted alot if I did because someone is voting down my pics constantly and often the pics I compliment, I agree with what you said poppy but it's interesting that observer would choose this particular pic because when I posted it the other day it did real well at first shot up fast, then it was continually downvoted and has been ever since, as if someone saw this pic as a real threat...for awhile now someone is voting down my pics in a sneaky way after they have gotten many votes they choose different ones in my files and keep voting them down yesterday my Marilyn pic had zero votes after being up over twenty now it has thirteen but, it will probably stay because I mentioned it, this has happened many times, you all can think what you want of me, but I'm telling it like it is, certain people here have the power to vote others down over and over and vote their own pics up, one person does it more than anyone else and this person has many different's true the votes are not important, but people who post here take time to find good pictures and include names and details, and many of us just want to enjoy the pics and each other,,,while some people want to cheat and compete and cause as much trouble as they can. like patito has said it's kind of sad when that's all you can do with your time!
2009-11-05 06:36:31
...not many. This was not about you, Observer, this was about the serial reposters... Your repost record is very low and I love your pics.

Hello! How many reposted pics i have uploaded?

"They" are not about being fair. "They" are all about getting ahead with every possible means no matter on whose toes they step... I cannot see any other way that we can affect the unfair 'success' of the duplicators other than downvoting their pics. Can you? Ideas, please.......

Hello, Poppy and Patito! to Patito : it's hard not to disturb was a while that i didn't post but i was checking the newly posts almost every day and i saw a big number of reposts..of some the pics that i posted too. to Poppy: i don't have any ideea in which way we could "fight" these...i think we can't...all depends of each poster..if they want to be fair or not.

Some posters just don't care a tinker's damn about whether they repost a pic that's already been here, and then there are those posters who deliberately and knowingly post other posters' pics... For the rest of us, that renders searches useless because these posters never state the author names or give any other info. The only way (at least for us posters) is to downvote every duplicate that we see. That may not be fair to the viewers, but we have to get the trolling posters under control. - Or do you have better ideas? I'd like to hear them...

It's just a fact of life here, WG...try not to let it bug you...sometimes it's an accident, or an innocent mistake... sometimes it looks like deliberate harvesting of the archives .....sometimes it's hard to know which of those things it is...sometimes it's pretty obvious......

Perhaps is not my business..but i cannot believe that u didn't know that this photo was posted by skip a few days ago..You could find out just writing the name of the photographer..that by the way you forgot to mention.. Why so many reposts you guys? Really..i might have reposted myself..a few times..but i really try hard not to..every time i search a photo by the photographer name or a key word if it looks familiar to me. Let's try to be more careful, it's unpleasant to se a picture over and over again.
