With digital photography, photoshop re-touches, etc. - we're left wondering what's real, what isn't. With long exposure, we see 'plastic water', aurora borealis, star streaks, fireworks, lightning, motion/movement, night scenes. With macro lens and high speed photography we see what the naked eye does not see. With under water photography we see the wonders of sea life - our ‘unknown world'. Some of this fairly new technology is not attractive (ie pink trees), but by playing with colour, it can fantasize, create a mood and so on. Most of this technology is wonderful, but like you say, we are left wondering.

I think the purple 'stuff' is not flowers but foliage/leaves, made that colour by magic tricks. The only flower that comes to mind of that colour is jacaranda, but the tree trunks don't match, these look more like beech tree trunks, and the countryside looks English. Hard to tell these days what is real and what is not. ;-)
