The Bible teaches that when an animal and a human dies, this is it. Nothing survives after death. Ezekiel 18:4 states 'that the soul that is sinning, it itself will die.'. Also Ecclesiastes 9:10 states, 'All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol, the place to which you are going.'. So when a person dies, they cannot hear, see, touch etc. Death is the opposite to life. We cease to exist. But God's promise of a resurrection gives us hope that we can come back to life again in the near future.

I think it's a bit more like Buddism...coming back (reincarnation) with another body.

Funny thing is, that this tombstone's message really is true, well, that's if you believe in the resurrection, it is, which I do.

Best all time epitath: from a tombstone in the cemetery in Key West, Florida: " I Told You I Was Sick " Second best, from the Boot Hill Cemetery in Tonbstone, Arizona "Here Lies Lester Moore: Four Slugs From a Forty-Four: No Les, No Moore."
