Hey..look..over 260 down votes on this comment in about an hour... these are the kind of narrow minded fanatics, absolutely convinced of their righteousness, who give moderrate, thoughful Christains a bad name.

Wasn't long ago that if one expressed doubts about the absolute truth of the Christian religion they'd burn you at the stake...nowadays all they can do is downvote any comment they disagree maybe we're making progress after all.

One of the reasons religion has such a powerful hold on human imagination is that it provides answers..most people are not comfortable with un-answered questions and open-ended situations, and in science it isn't far down any path of investigation before we come to a point where we have to say..'well, we just don't know'...with religion that isn't a problem..all the amswers are right there in the Holy Book, whatever it is. But the greatest advantage of religion is that it conquers our fear of death...people can believe that when they die it isn't really all over forever, and not only will they not really die, but that they'll spend eternity in a wonderful place with no pain or fear or injustice or hunger or any of the ills that plague our existence here on earth. Science and logic have had and will continue to have a tough time competeing with that.

Could Santa exist? Same question. It doesn't take any faith at all to believe Darwin - we see the evidence of natural selection and evolution all around us happening every day, scientifically tested and examined. Every time a cold virus mutates, that is an example of evolution - survival of the fittest. Now be intellectually honest and admit that god(s) are unverifiable by standard rigorous scientific testing. Goblins, pixies, Santas, gods and goddesses, purple flying spaghetti-monsters, all are unverifiable, and thus by your logic must also exist if you assert that your particular god exists. Or can we set up a double-blind scientific trial to see whether prayer is effective and demonstrate true supernatural intervention. And then repeat that test over and over again all over the world in laboratories anytime a scientist decided to check. Surely the easiest thing for a supernatural being to do would be to answer prayers during an important scientific test. This being the God mentioned who has "all the hairs of your head" numbered, counts the grasses of the field, etc. and hey - we know he's got the time, right, being eternal and all? As I said before: intellectual honesty, that's what this pic is about - I like it!

No, they are certainly not. Science never has "disproved" the gospel, nor can it as the beginning of science is through knowledge of all things created and who knows that better than those who know the Creator? See my comment below from some unknown lessor scientist... I think his name was Newton-something or other...

Hopefully whoever has this simplistic and ignorant view of faith isn't someone we have to rely on for good science.

Takes more faith than I have to believe Darwin over Jesus. Newton was a man of deep faith, perhaps a bit smarter than any of us. He regarded religion and science as interrelated; science, indeed, the handmaiden of religion, its Te Deum-hence no fundamental conflict. In both he insisted upon a common mental approach, a foundation of facts, historical and natural. The natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Cor 2-14 I don't expect you to understand my faith in God... you can't. What I ask of you is to be intellectually honest, could God exist?

Can your "Science" heal cancer? I have seen complete healing of terminal cancer patients by "faith" no other intervention. Doctors couldn't understand it. Science is nothing more then trying to understand what God has created, nothing more then that. And they do a very poor job of it.

Te demuestro lo contrario, cuándo quieras y como quieras?

Comparing Science and Faith is like comparing hamburgers and love. If you are trying to compare them, you're don't understand one or both.

the Bible is true science.

The depiction of science is simplistic, but truthful enough for these purposes. The depiction of faith is spot on.

Funny as it ever was.

Wow. Someone's a little touchy. This chart is an excellent (and funny) representation of what's happening today.

Write a chart, using facts not in existence. Thinks its cute, ignores the evidence of all senses, most of all, brain. Sees the wonder above, below, all around, thinks its an accident. Moronic.
