Yes, majestic indeed, as well it should be, for this is the famed Buddhist monastery of Farfa Kanout, high in the remote recesses of the Nepalese Himalayas. The long, winding walkway leads from the Chief Lama's residence to the shrine of Rama where within are the sacred Bronze Bells of Bhutan, which personify and serve as avatars of the chief mountain spirits, Ting and Tang. The bells are rung but once each year, during the holy ceremony of Ting Tang Rama Lama Dingdong.
