Good point, A Bouts. The language or lack of it is a big factor, but I see tens of pics here every day that I KNOW had the info in English at the source. I have seen this pic dozens of times during my searches, and every time the word 'Portofino' has been there. In additon to the above, I cannot even count the instances where there has been a query in a comment "Where is this?" and then the poster has come up with the answer. Meaning, the poster had the info in the first place but did not care to reveal it without someone asking for it.

"Why cannot the poster provide it?" I wonder if some of the posters do not post info. because english is not their first, second or even third language. It may be too troublesome to translate to english for each picture. In the past when someone posts a comment and or description in broken english they have been brutally ridiculed in the follow up comments. So why go through the hassle of translating, possibly getting it not quite right then have people make fun of you? Heck for me english is second to Californian and when I mess up people let me know about it.

It's absolutely real, but... dramatically improved with HDR technique. Anyway, Portofino remains one of the most beautiful in Italy and in the world too.

I have given the same info on the same pic before. ;-) No matter where on the Internet I have seen this pic, it has come with the location. Why cannot the poster provide it? This is Portofino on the Italian Riviera.
