If you read the passages with a discerning spirit you will see that there is no conflict. An angel is a man (see Rev. 22:8-9.) And, whether there were 2 or 1 doesn't make a difference. If an author speaks of one it doesn't preclude the possibility of there being another one that the author thought was superfluous.

The bible is the most contradictory religious materials, ever. Don't believe me? My mum's bible had a picture of Jesus on the front. One of the ten commandments is; thou shalt not have any likeness of you or something along those lines. see what i mean? Hilarious.
2008-05-09 01:37:41
Oh no, I think islam deserves the same or even more criticism. The thing is that me criticizing islam here and now won't help. The criticizing has to be done to muslims in muslim countries. I mostly criticize christianity because it is christians that are a lot more likely to read my criticism.
2008-05-09 01:06:41
in your opinion islam deserves less criticism than christianity and I wonder why. To my mind every single `religion` which praise with heaven those who fight against `infidels` should be banned.
2008-04-22 04:17:40
Ha ha ha... I'd ask if you're really new here, but I already know you're not. You're just too stupid.
2008-04-22 04:16:29
Bob again spending his days hitting negative vote buttons on anyone who dares disagree with him. I guess that is his description of open minded!
2008-04-05 09:28:58
Yeah. Not to mention the fact that there are hundreds of pictures which are hidden because people have voted them down or because they've been flagged as inappropriate.
2008-04-05 09:25:08
Perhaps you not sure how this works, ccv59, but a vote for a comment is a...wait for it..."Vote"! When you consider there is some 600+ pages with, say 20 pics on each page, then nine hundred votes is easily possible!!! Now include the comments and it's pretty easy to be voting in the thousands (if you like to spend serious hours on this site :D).
2008-04-05 09:18:30
Okay I don't claim to know the details of the "dead people walking" but most historian firmly believe that John was written after Matthew (so too was Luke, I think), so how can you claim one was based on a previous one, when the previous one would have been Matthew!?.
2008-04-02 20:56:24
*groans* not THIS bullshit again. If you think everyone is as stupid as you are, you are mistaken. At least I hope so.
2008-04-02 18:08:26
Anyone notice that Bob has voted over 900 times!?! There aren't even that many pictures on Pizdaus. For someone who claims to seek honest and unbiased truth he apparently doesn't mind tipping the scales behind the scenes for his purposes. Like Stalin, Mao, Marx and other atheists, twist the facts to support their sick little doctrines, then have the guts to claim that Christians are ignorant and blind. Not blind to your ways, Bobby.

one: straw man and false analogy. Nobody said discrepancies conclusively prove the events didn't happen, plus your analogy is just plain ridiculous. Conflicting testimonies calling into question the reliability of the testimonies analogous to disagreement over who wrote something proving nobody wrote them? Second: read the bible and learn some about the history. I'm pretty sure that there's good evidence that each subsequent gospel is based on the previous one, and you can see each subsequent one getting more and more supernatural. This calls into question the validity of the whole thing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Matthew 27:50-53 say that some dead people were raised and began walking around after jesus died? And isn't that the ONLY gospel saying that? You'd think that was a pretty big detail. Of course, there are ton of other examples.
2008-03-12 02:43:43
The four Gospels really do disagree on some points. Some of them include episodes absent from the others or describe the same events in different ways or quote the characters differently. These discrepancies prove that the events the Gospels recount didn't happen, just as disagreement over who wrote the works of Shakespeare proves that nobody wrote them.
2008-03-01 00:00:33
Posting on the net with a fake name!!??!! Gee, why didn't I think of that.
2008-02-26 11:00:43
hahahah... "the details don't matter"
2008-02-25 23:54:38
You should spend more time explaining contradictions and less time accusing the minority of persecuting you, the vast majority. Didn't some of you people say that Muslims had no right to be angry over comics against them?

I believe that religion, generally speaking, has been a curse to mankind — that its modest and greatly overestimated services on the ethical side have been more than overcome by the damage it has done to clear and honest thinking. ~ H. L. Mencken........ I distrust those people who know so well what God wants them to do because I notice it always coincides with their own desires. ~ Susan B. Anthony

"For thirty five years of my life I was, in the proper acceptation of the word, nihilist, a man who believed in nothing. Five years ago my faith came to me. I believed in the doctrine of Jesus Christ and my whole life underwent a sudden transformation. Life and death ceased to be evil. Instead of despair, I tasted joy and happiness that death could not take away." -- Leo Tolstoy, the great genius of Russian letters

"The holy one... The divine man...The human mind, no matter how far it may advance in every other department, will never transcend the height and moral culture of Christianity as it shines and glows in the gospels." - comments made about Jesus and Christianity by Goethe, German writer and scientist, 1749-1832

Wow, gee. A dictionary-maker was religious. I guess I'm going to convert to christianity now. Lotty, could you tell me how many names you post under? you are OBVIOUSLY Lotty, Jonny, and Sue W. I wouldn't be surprised if you're also Sean and a couple of others. Also, could I ask you why you're doing this? Do you think that such blatant dishonest behavior will lead to more people being christian or something? I thought as a christian you weren't supposed to do stuff like that. (oh, and keep it up! soon all of these will be at the top of the most commented list!)

"In praise of Thy goodness I must confess that Thou didst try with all Thy means to draw me to Thee. Sometimes it pleased Thee to let me feel the heavy hand of Thy displeasure and to humiliate my proud heart by manifold castigations. Sickness and misfortune didst Thou send upon me to turn my thoughts to my errantries. - One thing, only, O Father, do I ask: cease not to labor for my betterment. In whatsoever manner it be, let me turn to Thee and become fruitful in good works." - Ludwig van Beethoven as documented by Kerst and Krehbiel in "Beethoven: The Man And The Artist, As Revealed In His Own Words," p. 101, 104-106.

"In my view, the Christian religion is the most important and one of the first things in which all children, under a free government, ought to be instructed. . . . No truth is more evident to my mind than that the Christian religion must be the basis of any government intended to secure the rights and privileges of a free people. . . ." - Noah Webster, American lexicographer

Oh please. You're comparing the mindless pasting of quotes I criticized you of doing to the use of sources to supplement the comments I made? (PS: thanks for posting so much, all my pictures will soon be in the "most commented" section. Please, continue posting all your crap in every single one of my pictures)

"After six years given to the impartial investigation of Christianity as to its truth or falsity, I have come to the deliberate conclusion that Jesus Christ was the Messiah of the Jews, the Savior of the world and my own personal Redeemer." -- General Lew Wallace, one-time atheist, military general and literary genius, who along with Robert Ingersoll agreed together they would write a book that would forever destroy the myth of Christianity. Mr. Wallace studied for two years in the leading libraries of Europe and America for information to destroy Christianity. While writing the second chapter of his book, he suddenly found himself on his knees, crying out, "My Lord and my God." The evidence was overwhelmingly conclusive. Later, Wallace wrote "Ben Hur" - one of the greatest Christian novels.

"Are you so dull that you do not have anything worth saying of your own?" ... and then the man points, as he often does, to some other web site to learn "his" superior truth.

"Jesus is the God whom we can approach without pride and before whom we can humble ourselves without despair." - Blaise Pascal, 17th century mathematical genius

"As a child I received instruction both in the Bible and in the Talmud. I am a Jew, but I am enthralled by the luminous figure of the Nazarene....No one can read the Gospels without feeling the actual presence of Jesus. His personality pulsates in every word. No myth is filled with such life." -- Albert Einstein ("What Life Means to Einstein: An Interview by George Sylvester Viereck," The Saturday Evening Post, Oct. 26, 1929, p. 17.)

"I know men and I tell you that Jesus Christ is no mere man. Between Him and every other person in the world there is no possible term of comparison. Alexander, Caesar, Charlemagne, and I have founded empires. But on what did we rest the creation of our genius? Upon force. Jesus Christ founded His empire upon love; and at this hour millions of men would die for Him." - Napoleon Bonaparte

Same old thing??? Buddy I couldnt give a damm what peoples believe, till they try to enforce their "truth" upon others. There is a big difference between respect for the believe of an individual and respect for religion an sich. Respect buddy, that's something we all have to earn. Many peoples have forgotten about that lately, they seem to believe respect comes out of a gun, bomb or just simply the fact that one is a "newborn christian". Well if that doesnt bother you, than u should learn a bit more about that historical figure named Jezus you worship. (same goes for every religion, dogma, prejudice,...)
2008-02-15 05:28:11
Actually, no. But since you're saying that I guess it's true for you.
2008-02-15 05:16:40
It's the same old thing . . . pick on others to try to make yourself look better. Whether it's Christians, Muslims, supervisors, teachers, etc. . . . same old stuff.
2008-02-15 04:44:17
Valid point, David. Anyone interpretting the bible literally, word by word, is called a fundamentalist. In any case, the many translations all differ in detail one from the other.
2008-02-15 04:25:10
I think this is a stupid cartoon but I also don't think it is "picking on Christians". Each of those books of the Bible are 4 persons re-telling the story as they remembered it. I challenge anyone to pull 4 people out of a crowd that all witnessed the same event and ask them later what happened. See if you get the same story. And if you want to make the experiment even more realistic, ask 4 people that those 4 people told about what they saw and see how close the stories are.

sean....do yourself a BIG favour and watch; zeitgeistmovie(dot)com THEN come back on here with the same view point.
2008-02-15 02:40:04
ohhh my head hurts, good talk bob gotta go
2008-02-15 02:38:43
whining? cristianity bully? what the heck is your definition of honesty? cristians dont cut heads off, blow themselves up or fly planes into buildings, and no i am not genarilizing muslims but why are you not going after radical muslims? and how are cristians bullies? because we disaggree with abortion, homosexuality, lying, cheating and all other sins? sure there are some that do that, but when you catagorize all of us into those few, thats when you become the bully.
2008-02-15 02:33:02
As pallieter said- Weakest kid on the playground?!!! whoa. If anything, christianity is the strongest, fattest, loudest, most obnoxious kid who has ever even stepped on the playground (well, ok. Islam is pretty bad too). It is the religion with the most believers, it is the religion of the most powerful countries on earth, and it is the religion who has dominated history since it came about. Picking on christianity is the furthest thing from picking on the weakest kid.
2008-02-15 02:26:23
Sean, get real! Let's make one thing very clear, christianity isnt exactly the weakest kid on playground. Be f*** honest, it's the bully like every religion, so stop the whining.
2008-02-15 01:57:40
you know what? I take that back. sorry, but I think that is excactly what is wrong with people today. why did we pick on the weakest kid on the playground? ask yourself that.
2008-02-15 01:51:51
you are pathetic
2008-02-15 01:31:51
Very. They make it a walk in the park.
2008-02-15 01:07:15
Its easy for you to pick on cristians isnt it?
