That photo was taken in 1984..the Iowa has been in mothballs since 1990...the last great engagement between battleships was in the Pacific ( Leyte Gulf ) in 1944...there are no longer any battleships in commission in any of the world's navies..

Quite a bit! You can see the lateral movement in the water at the front of the ship. I'd imagine it's quite loud too :-)
