Beautiful Photograph and moment. Even better now knowing the rest of the story. I found it via Flickr where someone was looking for the original photographer. I believe that would be you?

I would love to, but there is so much need in Vancouver, I better stay put. We have a lot of homeless people - due to drugs and mental illness. But, we're spending billions of dollars to host the Winter Olympics 2010. Way to go Mr. Premier...Gordon Campbell.

Indeed it is Connie... This is Wat Pa Luang Ta Bua Temple (the Tiger temple), in western Thailand, where the River Kwai weaves through the rich green jungle. Between mantras and prayers, the monks at this monastery live with some of the deadliest animals in the world. It all started when a tiger cub orphaned by poachers was brought to the temple years ago. The abbot (the monastery´s superior cared for her and, as word spread, more people brought sickly and orphaned cubs to the temple's doorstep. Those cubs went on to have their own cubs, and nine years on there are now 34 tigers living here. You can even volunteer by preparing food for the tigers, cleaning the premises and helping build new enclosures every time a new animal is brought. Wanna try it Connie? ;-) :P
