I'm sorry Philip, but it sounds a little like you're defending the ideologies of the Nazi party. This is after all a WW2 era photo.

Awesome shot! Luckily for future generations that WWII was widely filmed and photographed. Otherwise we would have largely forgotten about the incredible devastation that it caused.
Lest we forget..

Phillip, the webmaster isn't out to get you. If they were, they'd just ban you. The 'covering' up happens when you get a certain number of negative ratings.
WW2 was not about profit. If it was, the US would have jumped in immediately rather than waiting to be personally invaded before doing so.

There were probably 9 men on board this plane. Pilot, copilot, bombardier, navigator, engineer, radio man, waist gunner, tail gunner, and the ball turret gunner. I doubt any of them wanted to be here.
This plane was called the 'Flying Coffin' because the only way off was through a rear exit, almost impossible to reach for those up front.
Would you have the courage to go?

The other problem was that the escape hatches were awfully narrow for a guy wearing parachute to squeeze through in hurry, in a plane that tumbles falling down. I takes one unlucky guy to get stuck and everybody after him is unlucky as well. Shot-down US bombers had only about 20-25% of survival rate, the Brits had even lower one, 10-15% on their bomber crews.

No one got out of this one - it's upside down.

Hey Dipshit (aka Philip)- got nothing more substantive than a typo? Typical, coming from a paranoid jerk like you. The world is one big conspiracy, right Flip? They're all out to get us, right Flip? It must really suck to be you. Hey Flip, Mama's calling...she wants you back in the basement. Crawl back where you belong.

I can't understand all of the nonsense over a 65 year old foto of a doomed B24. In fact last weekend they found the wreckage of a B24 in New Guinea which disappeared in 1944. 64 years ago. Can you imagine? Also found were the remains of 11 crewmen. Anyway, the B24 was more of a danger to it's crewe than it was to the enemy.

Actually, MM, if your great grandad had been on that New Guinea B24, and cashed-in his chips at the age of 19, none of us on Pixdaus would have the benefit of your insipid, sophomoric opinions on the great events that shaped our culture and civilation.
