This all could have been prevented had the lighthouse been painted florescent orange or some other Hippie color. :-)

Quite true - a lime green lighthouse with florescent orange flowers (must not forget flower power) all over would have prevented this accident. Peace mon ;-)

This is almost certainly not a freighter but some kind of tanker..freighters usually have booms, derricks, or some kind of cargo handling capacity....tankers just have a bunch of pipes and valves and stuff on deck....but in anycase, this is not the kind of thing a skipper wants to have to explain to the boss...

If that's Pasha Bulker ( which it probably is ) then I was mistaken ( which I frequently am ) about it being a tanker..should have said tanker or bulk carrier...Pasha Bulker was waiting to load coal when it came to grief...

How interesting to see someone adopt a nickname that truly suits 'em..."Poopy", referring, of course, to the condition of being "poop" or "poop-like"....and "poop" is, as we know, a common euphemisim for "shit".....Poopy sounds a little nicer, but a turd by any other name is still a turd...

You got that right, Turd Breath...I read what suits me and I write what suits me...I pretty much do what suits me when it suits me... I go where I damn well please when I'm damn well ready, and if you don't like it you can go fuck yourself....I eat when I'm hungry and I drink when I'm dry, if liquor don't kill me I'll live till I die...plus, I can write the English language without it sounding like it was translated out of a goddamn Chinese dictionary, which YOU sure as hell can't....did I mention you can go fuck yourself?
