lots of my pics have been downvoted over and over lately and two pics in my file that had many votes ended up with zero votes! I wrote pixdaus about it, But I still have no idea how they are doing it, So I understand how you feel humbug.

How many votes did this pic have when the 50 disappeared? Was the pic the top pic of the day at the time? Who was the poster whose pic then took first place?
This type of thing happens here quite frequently; far too often lately. Perhaps some posters have privileges that they abuse to their own benefit, plus they have huge loads of outside cheater votes. In the case of the two pics of Skip's, I had also noticed that they had disappeared from the day's best list and when I looked in her file, there they were, with zero votes. One had lost over 100 votes! Curiously, both times it was the same poster's pic that then took the place of Skip's pic in the top position. Hence my question to you as to who took your pic's place on the list. If it is the same person, then we can all write to pixdaus and lodge a complaint against him/her, which will - or should - result in loss of privileges.
The most that one of my pics has lost in one quick fall has been about 50 votes, usually it's between 10 and 15 votes. Just yesterday, some of my pics already had 16 votes and when I looked in a few minutes later, they had only 3. I am not bitching about the votes per se, but I AM bitching about the unfair tactics of some posters.

Sure its cute now, but once this critter sinks its teeth into your hand i bet that opnion changes.
Idiots calling something cute and makeing wild animals pets when they should be left alone.

It reads as though Pixdaus definitely has a problem with its voting mechanism, which is a good a reason to ignore the ratings on this site (and disregard them regarding your work). It's sad when people cheat the system, and cheat it so plainly that they get noticed, and keep on cheating anyways.
As for the photo posted on this page...most assuredly a 1000X cute factor applies, so wins on its own merits.
Lil'hedgehog does appear alarmed, especially in full tuck in the last shot. But it is safe to say that it was, and remains, perfectly safe in those hands.

it was probably voted down since this picture was taken off of flickr where the owner specifically requested that it not be reproduced without their consent as well as appropriate credit. get your panties out of a bunch and give credit where it is due, especially since the rest of her pictures are just as adorable.
