When I posted this a couple of days ago, I forgot to add the following information:
This photo is titled 'Le Phare de la Jument', by the world famous photographer Jean Guichard. This photo is part of a world famous seven picture series titled 'La Jument'. The lighthouse keeper is Theodore Malgorne. Guichard has many spectacular pictures of lighthouses and surf. Just Google his name and see.

I forgot to mention that Cornelius 2, who posted this photo, albeit a smaller one, did not provide a tag or caption. Understandably, when I checked, that photo did not come up. So, I posted mine.
