Zion was my hometown, and was founded as a "holy city" by Dr. James Alexander Dowie. Indeed, tobacco was outlawed, as well as many other "vices." To my knowledge, it's still a dry city, though it's small enough so that a liquor store is never more than 5 minutes away.
"Old fuddy duddies"? What does that even mean?
I guess wear a seat belt and don't do crack
and don't play in the freeway you dumb ass
are also 'fuddy duddyisms'?
As usual this proves that there were people who were telling the truth and had it right from the start.
And as usual most people won't listen until the evidence is overwhelming.---------------------
Take a close look at society and see all the things we USED to know were wrong and right. And how we get talked out of using common sense and talked into accepting aberrant stupidity. Then slowly, as the evidence piles up the voices get louder and louder as to the way we reap from stupidity and self indulgence. ---------------------
On the affirmative side look at gun control. The touchy feelies slowly took more and more of our ability and rights away and crime got worse and worse. Now a slow 20 yr reversal has been going on with more and more concealed carry laws being passed and crime goes down immediately when this occurs.
--------------------------
On the neg side look at the holocaust that 'free love'(and it's associated perversions) has brought into out world. Millions and millions of deaths
, generations of broken children from divorce.
Yeah...it's all because of our unwillingness to listen to 'fuddy duddies' 'cause we are just so smart.
