Thanks for the information about the African violets, Coy. Your maternal Grandmother must of had a green thumb. I'll have to keep that in mind for the future about not watering African violets too much. I hardly water the inside plants I have anyway. I was taught to always underwater in preference to overwatering. Thanks again, Coy... :)

I meant to end it with (but then again she could grow anything).

Mary, I never did have much luck with African Viotets either. My maternal Grandmother on the other hand, always had the most beautiful African Violets that I ever saw. She loved them and had them in every east-facing window sill. She told me the same thing that poppy told you, about not keeping them overly wet.she would allow the top of the soil to become dry before adding a moderate amount of water to them..But then again anything.

Many thanks for that, Coy. Very kind of you... :)

Mary, I just gave this picture and your last two post a vote of plus three each. They all three are great..

Oh BTW, many thanks for upvoting the picture, Poppy... :)

I saw that. But how would people know it's you that voted. I'm not worried. The photos of nature I post will always be beautiful no matter what happens, especially around here on Pixdaus. I've always read that African violets are fussy about light especially. I don't have a window in my kitchen. It's only a kitchenette, very small. Anyway, maybe I should try again with violets and see if I can get it right this time. Thanks Poppy... :)

They are the easiest of plants - the only trick is not to have the soil wet all the time. - As soon as I had upvoted the photo, someone downvoted... ;-(

I've never had success with African violets. And I don't think I ever will. I'm glad that your violets are blooming well, Poppy.... :)

Just like taken on my kitchen windowsill! All my dozen-or-so saintpaulias are blooming...
