Welcome too, Cuteyoungchic.... :)
2010-06-13 00:37:19
Another from Australia. Looks like we're winning with this.... :)
2010-06-12 23:49:02
cuteyoungchic is from Western Australia
2010-05-08 10:18:51
Are you sure ? I went to Lisa Noble's website and though I didn't count the photos nor look at all of them the first 50 or so were sensitively done portraits of infants and children. Maybe we're not talking about the same Lisa Noble.
2010-05-08 09:50:16
I think that perhapsCohise might be a woman, but I don't know why I think that. He/she said one time something about being a drunkard and something else.
2010-05-08 09:48:05
He posted under Sea Lemon and at least one other name I can't recall right now. When I told him that he had been Sea Lemon (same type of uploads), he admitted it...which was honest of him...I guess.
2010-05-08 09:45:03
The photographer Lisa has a hard look on her face; there is nothing soft there. She has over 500 photos on her site with a majority of them of herself!
2010-05-08 09:39:11
I agree Europe, but not sure about Spain.
2010-05-08 06:11:30
To Connie: I have been a long-time fan of Pixdaus, although I don't think I've had the pleasure to speak with you before. I rememberd lisa's pic because you mentioned the skateboard, I recalled being amused at the comments, since I had always believed JChip8 to be a man, and I have to say, lisa is a beautiful woman, that always get's my attention. ; ))
2010-05-08 04:39:44
And you, Andover1 : from where ? :-)
2010-05-08 04:19:04
Yes, I believe Cohise is definitely a male, and I recall as well some clue that he was from Belgium, or lived there....
2010-05-08 04:03:48
You forgot Cohise. I don't know where he lives. ( I say "he" : I don't imagine/fancy he is this nice, cute girl he posted some weeks ago. And for me, he sounds "male".) But what I am sure, because I read it : some week ago, he used a phrase that it is used only in everyday language Belgian, in the "vernacular". ( My parents were Belgiums.)
2010-05-08 03:52:37
I understand Patito...just been missing his participation, thatīs all.
2010-05-08 03:51:53
Once more time, a comment went to a wrong place ? You wanted to answer at/to Mary PG, no ? " GTM", you have to read "GMT", Greenwich Mean Time. I go on to think JChip8 is living in Europe.
2010-05-08 03:47:42
In France, Italian men have the reputation of being the people of Europe's most attracted by/to beautiful women :-) Seriously : Like jujuba, I think his name "Ademir Laurindo" sounds Portuguese. He posted during European time. Maybe his is Portuguese ?
2010-05-08 03:01:59
Peasant may have assumed another nom de guerre...if I recall correctly, he had posted under a couple of other names before becoming it's possible, even likely, he's still with us...this is not an uncommon practice here...there are some seriously disturbed individuals lurking about the dark corners of this site, and it's easy to become a target of their vitriol....
2010-05-08 02:43:31
Havenīt seen Peasantīs pictures for a while...
2010-05-08 02:34:47
In French the emphasis is on 'rie'.
2010-05-07 22:52:50
Good job ! And we have spent a very happy moment ! Thank you a lot to you !
2010-05-07 17:09:09
You forgot Gabrielle, who lives in Sydney, Australia. So that's 3 from Australia, at least... :)
2010-05-06 13:58:34
Yes, I saw Devo's comment, and it's odd. JChip8 could be female - lots of women, including me, love locomotives and trains. When I was younger, I travelled a big chunk of Canada on them. I'm not sure I understand the hours you quoted. In Canada and the United States, we have several time zones. Because I have Pacific Time - France is 9 hours ahead of me...not 4. Do you all have the same hours in Western Europe? What is GTM? What time someone posts photos or writes comments may mean something, but also may not. It depends on other factors. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by Poppy reading comments of his that are Spanish. Are you saying JChip8 could be Spanish? I still know more than you ;-) ;-)
2010-05-06 13:36:54
When I was born, my mum named me Anne Maria. But then, she thought that people would call me Anna Maria, so she changed it to Maria Anne. But I'm now known as Mary. I only have the one middle name. Marie is a nice name. It is one of my niece's names and I only have 2 nieces. I like it when the name Marie has the emphasis on the 'rie' part of the name, not the other way...
2010-05-06 13:35:36
TO DEVO: Your comment surprises me. JChip8 posted that photo over a year ago - more like 1 l/2 years ago! I don't remember you on that site at the time. I had my reasons for remembering that upload - because of a stunt JChip8 pulled on me. But, I'm surprised that you were on the site at the time, mush less that you would remember that photo - the title and the name of the photographer...which is correct. Wonders never cease! The title of the picture may have caused some confusion, but the picture you are referring to is not of or by JChip8, but of lisa noble, a photographer from california, you can see her work on flickr under the name YetAnotherLisa, The picture is called Me Then (1978) and Now (2008)
2010-05-06 13:29:43
One of my middle names is Marie ;-)
2010-05-06 12:50:16
My real name is Maria, but I dislike that name. People call me Mary. That's what I prefer. Even my parents call me Mary. I don't mind people here calling me by my current username or PG. Maria makes me think alot of West Side Story and I don't like the songs much from that, especially the one about Maria.... :( Don't know why that is actually....
2010-05-06 11:44:05
I was wondering if your real name is Mary - not referring to a username.
2010-05-06 11:42:29
I was wondering if your real name is Mary - not referring to a username.
2010-05-06 09:08:45
And too, I still have photos under the names Mary and Mary172, but I have stopped posting under those 2 usernames. I only post and comment now under the one username, PictureGirl....
2010-05-06 07:02:46
I agree with Connie : If your picture "went away" during the following hours, PLEASE REPOST IT. ... with all the new informations you collected/have collected : who are we, Pixdaus Users ?
2010-05-06 04:54:53
Connie, at this time/hour, you did look at the devo's comment above, for you. Do you know/read Agatha Christy and her Miss Marple ? :-) Never I thought those two pictures were JChip8. For me, JChip8 is a boy because he does love too much "locomotives and trains" :-) And too/also for me, he does not live in America - North or South - : untill around a month, he posted at 13:30 - 14:15 French time. For us, Europeans, it is the end of lunch. Time break. At this time, it is around 7 in East America, 4 in Canada. Now he uses to post at 22-23 French time. When GTM hour - and Pixdaus day ... - change ! :-) Today, Poppy said she read some comments of/from him, and they were in Spanish. Who knows more about our "Top" poster ? :-)
2010-05-06 04:22:32
I thought Mary was your original username. Then you had problems with re-registering or someting like that, so you took PictureGirl.
2010-05-06 04:17:53
Johnyhemelsoen - Belgium
2010-05-06 02:41:13
One more to add to the list: Canna Hou - Taiwan (just read her comment under one of her pictures)
2010-05-06 02:32:17
Hmmm I guess your reaction was uncalled for 'quest'... First of all, I don't understand why you got mad when Poppy corrected some of the information, you yourself asked us to do that. And donīt rely on some of these people on the list to confirm their countries of origin, cause some of them never write comments. Plus, sometimes when I post a picture, it gets downvoted kinda fast by 5, 6 votes - now, itīs not fair if I suspect that everyone online at that time is doing that - many people in Pixdaus are only expectators voting on the photos. Plus, thereīs a whole lot of hate and competition in this site, did you see Cuauhtemec's Cinco the Mayo pictures being downvoted?
2010-05-05 22:55:22
Of course libellule, by all means... :) But please don't worry. I'm not the least bothered by anything you say. You are too nice a person for that...:)
2010-05-05 22:48:48
Mary, would you excuse me ? :-)
2010-05-05 22:45:49
Only the "LATIN" ones ? Sure ? :-)
2010-05-05 22:36:14
It doesn't matter where exactly Ademir is from. He is a Latin male and they are all the same. : )
2010-05-05 21:38:49
No, it wasn't me, libellule. It was between Andouille and Marybeth. You may have got mixed up because my real name is Mary... :)
2010-05-05 21:21:11
Andouille is a Hawkeye from the mid-west but has escaped the frozen tundra and presently resides in the beautiful hill country west of Austin.
2010-05-05 20:53:37
Wrong another time : I should have said : A picture Andouille posted. Please excuse !
2010-05-05 20:50:36
My comment was meant for connie, about JChip8's posting of a lisa Noble picture.
2010-05-05 20:47:15
The title of the picture may have caused some confusion, but the picture you are referring to is not of or by JChip8, but of lisa noble, a photographer from california, you can see her work on flickr under the name YetAnotherLisa, The picture is called Me Then (1978) and Now (2008)
2010-05-05 19:40:02
...AND I HAVE NOT DOWNVOTED THIS PICTURE, IF'S THAT'S WHAT YOU MEANT! Do you think I was the only one present here? Do you have any idea how many people visit Pixdaus daily? Your attack on me is totally uncalled for, and you should be ashamed of yourself!
2010-05-05 19:37:19
Excuse me, quest, but you have made the list without consulting the individuals, so why does that differ from me coming up with my observations? Or the other people on this page doing the same? I HAVE NOT DOWNVOTED ANYTHING ON THIS PAGE! You are extremely rude and a liar, too! - "Recorded by Pixdaus" you say - there is no way of votes being recorded, so what are you talking about? Why are you attacking me, anyway? What have I ever done to you?
2010-05-05 19:18:35
I am/was wrong : it was an Andouille's picture, with azaleas. And comments between PictureGirl and Andouille.
2010-05-05 18:35:11
DANIS : Greece And we heard about Andouille, but i forgot it. Maybe it was above a PictureGirl' picture ... with a lot of azaleas ?
2010-05-05 18:29:51
Like you, I am not sure he is from Brazil : he uses to post during our "Europe time". Maybe from Italy ? Because Italians love beautiful girls :-)
2010-05-05 18:22:23
JChip8 posted 'before and after' (younger and older) photos of herself on skateboard about a year ago. Her look, the clothes she had on (tshirt, slacks and runners - especially the runners) suggested to me that she's from a northern European country. Why would you think Serbia? I don't see those two side-by-side photos on her file anymore, but I might have missed it when I searched.
2010-05-05 18:15:06
If the photo gets down-voted to oblivion, please post it again or another one with your list.
2010-05-05 18:10:16
How do I know this? Poppy's comments above and her -3 downvote were recorded by Pixdaus at exactly the same time.
2010-05-05 18:06:53
This all may well be true, but it is up to Juanra and jchip8 to make corrections and not Poppy. That is essentially what I posted in my comments above. I do have one question for you Poppy, why did you give this upload a -3 vote? Are you the expert on all matters and also the master of downvoting?
2010-05-05 18:01:31
Sourdough Sam posted at one time that he lived in Seattle after spending ten years working for an oil company on the Alaska north slope. I am guessing that Glacierman lives in or near Haines since he has been posting his own photos and almost all of them taken in this area. I have read comments, maybe some on home pages, that have declared Robot to live in the Ukraine and Adamir in Brazil. I have simply taken this information at face value and of course may be wrong in any case. Of course this is all academic, this post will undoubtedly be downvoted below the -13 mark by sometime tomorrow and be gone.
2010-05-05 17:50:34
How do you know where Sourdough Sam, Robot, Glacierman, Adamir etc. are from. I guess I missed some comments - I don't read them all. To be more precise, Libellule is from the Loire Valley in France. Knowing the country we live in and some personal stuff anyone wants to volunteer is great! It makes it more friendly. Quest, you now have to put the names in alphabetical order ;-)
2010-05-05 17:21:40
Jchip8 from Serbia? I just looked at jchip8's file comments and all the comments that he has made were in Spanish - I've always thought he was from S. America... Juanra is from Spain but lives in Sweden.
2010-05-05 17:03:03
You sure Ademir is from Brazil? Iīve asked him a couple of times, but he never replied.
2010-05-05 16:59:25
Commenting on another photo, Connie started a list of where Pixdaus users were from. I have made some additions to her list and I hope that others will send comments to this photo stating where they live. It is amazing how widespread that we Pixdaus users are: My current list follows: Connie: Vancouver, BC, Canada PictureGirl: Melbourne, Australia Pesches61: Perth, Australia Myke Salmon: New Zealand Jujuba: Brazil Ademir Laurindo de M: Brazil Cuauhtemec: Mexico Newsman: London, UK Ru: Bruges, Belgium Patito: Texas, USA Peasant: Croatia Skip: USA Fuzzy Blue One: USA Coy: Indiana, USA Libellule: France Coy: Indiana, USA Poppy: Finland Witch Girl: Romania Thiv: Greece Quest4tvl5a: California, USA Juanea: Sweden JChip8: Serbia FJKey: New Zealand Sourdough Sam: Seattle, Washington, USA Robot: Ukraine Glacierman: Haines, Alaska, USA? I have forgotten a few and may also be incorrect on some of these. However, why don't the rest of you send a comment under this photo and either add your own information or make a correction.
