And, in America, over a billion dollars a year is wasted on Halloween. How many hate-filled terrorists has all that candy stopped? Thank you to the courageous men who fight our wars for us. Whether I agree with the war or not, they are heroes. Countries don't wage war, governments do. People don't wage war, politicians do. And, although I have grave doubts about the sanity of those in leadership positions in government, I honor and respect and am eternally grateful for the men who put their lives on the line every day to defend my right to grouse about the political system I live under.

It must be nice being a brainwashed liberal, only talking to other liberals, only thinking happy liberal thoughts, and only hating those that make your liberal way of life possible.

Sorry people... just more conservative bullshit... now... Where are the Republicans wiminz at? I'm Whiteman McCain and I approve of this war.

Great deduction Sherlock.

Our constitution is a living document and can reflect our choices. I will continue to chose peace and to provide for the common good.

You left off a few facts. We armed him and gave him the weapons of mass destruction to commit his crimes.
2008-09-01 01:10:11
Peace. What a noble concept.

Sorry people... just more liberal bullshit... now... Where are the white wiminz at? I'm Barack Huessin Obama and I approve of this message.

You people are fooling yourselves - big money gets spent on war. Big money for all that other stuff disappears into the pockets of crooked politicians and their crooked buddies. That kind of money would never have made it to those that need it! I'm not saying that it's right... I wish things were different - I'm just saying that's the way it is!
2008-08-15 14:37:03
Idiot! This is money that Bush has spent on his illegal wars. It has been spent, get it? It's gone. It could have been better spent. Can you understand that very simple concept?
2008-07-30 18:14:43
The Iraq War money was spent mostly on wages, healthcare, food, schools, teachers, etc. It was for soldiers and Iraqi's. A damn good investment too.

With that mind-set if we spend our money on our problems that would be further proof of our arrogance and uncaring for the other poor people of the world! Our success and achievment mean nothing to this self-defeating mind-set!

Apparently, in Oregon, children aren't people and require different health care. Go figure!

You actually go out in public with that pea sized rock you call a brain, Simon? That's what I call 'stupidly brave.'

It's not like there's a lack of political sites out there, post this there.

This site is for photos. You want to share what you think? Show me. And keep the stats and propaganda for your blog.

The total cost for the US will end up at over $1 Trillion, best case scenario. This averages to well over $3000 cost to every single person living in the US, even those too young to even be paying taxes.
2008-03-20 09:08:22
3.7 billion!! Wow!! Where do you think they spent that money, or maybe they put it inside a cannon shell and shot into iraq.
2008-03-20 09:07:43
So Pete. One person's murder of innocents excuses another person's murder of innocents? YOU forget that we are allied with such nations as Saudi Arabia against this threat, whose king is as bad or arguably worse than Sadam Hussein. How do you justify the choice of which nation to invade and which nation to ally with? Our government based it on who would dish out $oil$ for them and who wouldn't. Is your grand moral compass comfortable with that decision?
2008-03-20 08:49:32
If you do the math to find the average amount of people killed per day under the regime of Saddam Hussein, and compare that number to the casualty rate after Bush invaded 'to find hidden weapons of mass destruction,' you will find that the level of casualty and violent death suffered by the Iraqi people has been higher SINCE the US invaded Iraq.

I do not agree. It is a photo - but for peolpe who are able to read and speak english it seems to be a political message. Turn it by 180 degrees and you cannot read it. An illiterate, a baby or a poor chinese farmer will see some black spots on white background.
2008-03-20 07:42:18
This is funny! you think that the government is going to fix everything? The same government that you claim screwed up Iraq and Katrina? We have seen what the government did with social security, and you want to trust it with more money? Our constitution says that the government is only supposed to give us military protection, not health care, food, housing, scholarships. Now do you understand why your taxes are so high?
2008-03-20 06:41:03
My apologies - it should have read "murders" not "deaths" most humanitarian organizations have Saddam at +1 million. However the Washington Post (not at all a liberal newspaper :p) gathered its stats how? "The estimate, produced by interviewing residents during a random sampling of households throughout the country, is far higher than ones produced by other groups, including Iraq's government." So basically it's a case of "Bloke down pub said...ah must be true!"

You forgot about all the soldiers from Oregon who would still be alive and/or have all their limbs. Oh, and the hardships their families have endured.
2008-03-20 04:40:35
You left off a few other numbers: Under Saddam Hussein: 300,000+ murders, including: * 180,000+ Kurds k. in Anfal * 60,000+ Shiites in 1991 ...but you're right we need those 67,550 Music and Art teachers.
2008-03-20 04:02:32
the point of this image seems to be a simple truth: that money spent in one place cannot be spent in another. funny how there's never enough money for schools, health and infrastructure, but there's always plenty of money to wage a new war.
2008-03-20 04:02:09
This isn't a photo, it's a political message. It's not that I disagree with the message but pizdaus is a photo-board. Go to digg or something. Downvoted.

Oregonians-Because the money would just have come from nowhere "just because". Why don't you jack up state taxes and make all those things happen?
2008-03-20 03:27:20
Oregonians = the only pure altruists, eh? Big minus for your weak political post.
