Thankyou so much for your kind words, Skip. YOU are sweet to say that about me. I'm glad you waited too, because I would really like for you to try and find out what the bird could possibly be. I wish you well in finding that out. You are welcome to the link too. Take care and have a restful sleep... :)

You're sweet Mary...I thought you'd be back, I was getting ready to take off, because it's getting late here, but I'm glad I waited.. and thanks for the links!

That's unusual for the bird to say that, but I know what you mean. It's always hard to try and make others understand how birds sound like that you've heard, but not know much about. I hope you find out what this bird could be. I'm glad you haven't had your weather not so humid. I think it's going to warm up soon here. The magnolias, blossom and daffodils are all out now and the weather has been a touch warmer lately. It all points to spring being just around the corner. I just wish that it would STAY as spring and not turn into these hot summers.... :(

Hoping these links might help to identify the bird you are speaking of, Skip....

I noticed that too Mary, but I just assumed there would be other places to go for the other kinds of birds.

I'm not sure which bird it is Mary, because I always hear it, but I have not seen it. it has an unusual voice for a bird, and it always sound to me like it's saying...sidrid. sidrid.. I know that's not a word, but that's what it sounds like. :) I'm glad you had some nice weather today, we had hot weather here, but not too humid, so I'm not complainning. :)

I think that site too for the birds Skip, is for Australian birds. Not sure if you'd find the bird you want to know about on there... :(

You are very welcome, Skip. Which bird are you speaking of ? I would love to know which one it is. It was a beautiful morning weather wise this morning. A bit of cloud around, but quite mild. I even turned off the heater and opened my window and front door for awhile and put up the strip curtain to allow the cats to go in and out through the open door at their leisure. Now, it's all clouded up and the sun has gone and I've had to close everything up again. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted... :)

Thanks Mary, I've never been to that site before, it was interesting to match the sound with the bird I have always liked the sound of one bird I hear quite frequently that has a raspy sounding voice...maybe now I can figure out which bird it is, on that site. :)

Many thanks, Skip. This bird is a beautiful bird and in the first link of 2 that I have put here, you can hear what the bird sounds like.... :)

Great pic Mary, I like the markings on this bird, and the plant makes a nice background too. :)
