Thanks for the info fbo - The photographer, CurlyToes, should uncurl them to concentrate more. I, on the other hand, should have paid more attention to what I was uploading. I have seen enough DLLs to know better.

Thanks, FBO, you saved me the time I would have used to find out what these are (I knew they were not daddy long legs). - Surprisingly often, photographers do not know what they're looking at. ;-)

This is a crane fly not a daddy long legs- A daddy longlegs, or harvestmen, as they are also called, does have eight legs but lacks several important spider characteristics. Where spiders have two distinct, separated body parts, the cephalothorax and abdomen of the harvestmen are fused into one. Harvestmen lack both the silk and venom glands that spiders possess. -photographers often mislabel their pics
