Brings back some wonderful memories of my childhood on the farm. Like the photo, our cats would stand up to received their milk. When young, there would be more milk on their face than in their tummies.
I grew up on a farm with many cats, and this happened every morning and night.
A cat wouldn't normally sit like that, but would work his way up the stream until he was at the teat.
And they would line up, but would get impatient and try to convince me that they were next, though they certainly knew who controlled the stream.
We would separate the milk (we sold the cream) in the barn, and the cats got all the skim milk they could hold.
It' one of the memories that still gives me pleasure 50 years later.
I have seen this image several times, and it always makes me laugh. There seem to be five or six cats lined up for their daily morning milk squirt. The farmer has them well trained for the treat.
