..an' here's the recipe, Cher..cut the snake into steaks bout the size of a small lamb chop..mix some flour wit some cornmeal and a little salt, pepper, cayenne pepper and garlic powder ( not garlic salt )..beat a couple of hen eggs real good and mix wit a cup or so of milk..Heat up bout a inch or so of oil in a skillet..be sure the oil is good an' hot..mos' peoples dont get they oil hot enough..good way to tell is to put a kitchen match in the oil..when it lites off the oil is hot enough.. dip the steaks in the egg mix first, then in the dry mix and fry 'em up nice and crisp and brown... Serve with cornbread or hushpuppies.

This one was found at the J & S Quik Stop on hiway 281 just west of Burnett, Texas. It was 9 ft 1 in long and weighed 97 lbs. So remember, when you're drving down a Texas hiway and you stop for gas kinda look around on the ground a little bit before you step out of your car.

This is very interesting Panhandle Pete. Interesting, because I did not have any idea that Rattle Snakes got that large. How long is that thing and how much did it weigh? I sure would not want a bite from one of those large things. I doubt if one would have long to get to the Hospital.
