Nor is this the same photo that I uploaded a couple of days ago. The photo I uploaded was taken by Bertrand Kulik in 2008, when the tower was illuminated in blue, and was given the title of "A Bolt from the Blue" by Mr. Kulik.
Can the Eiffel Tower create its own lightning?
Being the only tall structure within a wide radius it’s not surprising that the Eiffel Tower often gets hit by a lightning bolt. But that’s not what’s happening on this photo, shot by Hakim Atek on May 25, 2009.
