I voted this pic to 11 and it has already been voted down. ;-( - Hey, downvoter, did you get up at the wrong side of the bed this morning?

Thanks Poppy :-)

Splendid photo, Jujuba!

But I never drive up to the snow, so you may as well say for me anyway, that I never see snow at all... :( I'm so sorry that you don't get the chance to see the snow either, Jujuba... :(
2010-05-05 14:54:24
Thanks - I'll try that

Well, you at least get the chance to drive for a while and see it. Here in Brazil, snow is almost non-existant. Only in very isolated places in higher towns in the South, and that too very less. It melts down before we have time to get there :-|

That is, I'm sorry to hear that you receive no snow either, Jujuba... :(

I'm sorry to hear that, Jujuba... :( To experience snow in Victoria, one would have to make a 3 to 4 hour drive away from Melbourne. It has already started snowing now there too.

Hmmm....I guess you have an older version then. You can check the version by clicking on 'Help' then on 'About Paint'. I guess to resize it, you need to go to 'Image' then 'Stretch/Skew' - there will be something about height and width there and thatīs where I guess you can enter '80%' for example, to shrink the image by 80% of its original size.

Sounds really amazing Connie :-) Iīll join your 'we receive no snow Club' PG :(

Jujuba - I don't know what version of Paint I have. I have the following on the menu bar (?): File Edit View Image Colors Help. I don't see 'resize' under any of them.

We receive no snow at all in Melbourne. I would love it if we had just a little bit, but no, it is not to be... :(

Is 'complete fractals' a program one can buy to upload on the computer?
2010-05-05 14:09:43
We rarely get snow in Vancouver, and when we do it does not last. At Christmas time, the Gardens have evergreen trees all lit up....lots of decorations...floodslights & spotlights shining on bushes and flowers. But, I've been to the VanDusen Park when there was snow, and it is beautiful with all the floodlights shining on the trees dripping with snow......

You can do that in Paint too Connie. Iīve got Paint 6.1 and I use the feature 'resize' - I simply fill in the percentage I want it to get smaller - it shrinks it without having to crop any part of it.
2010-05-05 13:48:47
That was for Connie by the way...
2010-05-05 13:48:23
You mean itīs more beautiful with the snow that with all the flowers around?
2010-05-05 13:42:44
I shrink and/or enlarge programs using "complete fractals" and never loose a part of the image. In addition very small images can be enlarged up to1000% without sacrificing image quality. Complete Fractals can be used as a standalone program or as a plug-in for other photos such as photoshop, i-photo, aperature or lightroom.

I have see that photo on fotocommunity. How did you manage to shrink it without chopping it? The only way I know to make a photo smaller is to chop it with the Paint Program. Unfortunately, it means chopping nice parts of a photo.

Boy, you're really fortunate to have such a beautiful place to visit, Connie. Wish we had something like that here in Melbourne... :(

That's the Laburnum Walkway in VanDusen Park, Vancouver, B.C. It's a lovely park, even lovelier at Christmas time.
