Rue St. Rustique –Restaurant Le Consulat The sign on the restaurant says it was a hangout for for Picasso, Van Gogh, Monet, Toulouse Lautrec - 1909.
To the left of it is restaurant Auberge de la Bonne Franquette. The sign says "It’s famous since 1890 as a rendez-vous of famous artists – Diaz, Pissaro, Degas, Cézanne, Toulouse-Lautrec, Renoir, Monet, Zola. It’s garden served as a model for Van Gogh for his famous ‘La Guinguette’ painted in 1886 and is at the Louvre."
I ate at Le Consulat (outside), but not the Auberge - too expensive. The couple seated beside me were funny and friendly Aussies; so was the young guy that served us - so lots of fun.
I don't know when that picture was taken because the streets are packed with people till at least 11:00 pm (when I left).
