This photo cannot be real, it has to be a compendium of two or more photos. Most likely the sky in the original photograph was replaced by the aurora night sky. An aurora only is seen in a night sky and on the northern horizen (excluding southern auroras of course). In this photo their is sun on the foreground. Which could have been artificially applied, or implied by extensive dodging. However the shadows go from east to west, which is an impossible situation. Going from south to north would be more possible, but even then not believable. All that said, it does make an interesting photo.
