Yeah right, that´s in Peru. This is a natural lagoon feeded with subterranean water; but right now thanks to the global warming is HALF DRIED... maybe die soon. Visit at Huacachina, Ica (south from Lima) PERU

…and how far is that? Knowing what the difference between a lagoon and a lake in an oasis is, the source was screwed onto my shoulders, where I generally keep my head. Your head, on the other had, appears to be located somewhat lower, judging by the quality of your comments around here. I may appear like a nitpicker at times, but I am not going to apologize for my love of semantics.

I can't believe that you went so far to find a definition of a lagoon.

A lagoon is a shallow lake near a river or the sea, due to the infiltration or overflow of water from a larger body; or it is water enclosed by an atoll or coral island. Oasis lakes are generally spring-fed. But let us enjoy the view and order a Bellini or goat's milk on ice, or something.

"Lagoon"? Hardly. Looks more like an oasis to me.
