How hard is it to put your stuff into a washing machine, set it to 40°, no fabric softener, just some detergent (measured by WTF, but not too much), press "start" and return 1-2 hours later, taking your stuff to put it in a place where it can dry - maybe even on the radiator. I do that every week for years. I'm a dude, btw.
