Inukshuk was done by the Canadian Inuits (aka Eskimos) for the 1986 Vancouver World's Fair. It stood in front of the Inuit Pavilion. After the Fair, it was moved to English Bay. The Olympic organizers had asked for Vancouverites' input on what the Winter Olympic logo should be. While walking around the seawall, I saw the Inukshuk in the distance. I thought then that it would make a very nice logo, but it was not a true representive of all our First Nations - just the Inuits. So, I decided not to submit my input. The rest is history ;-)
