Fact is, Ms C, the whole continent, including Canada and Mexico, was taken from the original inhabitants by armed force..over in East Texas where all my grandparents lived there were Caddoan people called the Tejas who lived in houses, had wooden furniture, slept on beds, had a complex social system and a fairly sophisticated religion..they weren't naked savages running wild in the woods, but were highly successful farmers, and their ancestors had occupied those river valleys for at least a thousand they are gone, utterly and traces but a few pot shards, projectile points, and few words of their language...why ? because my ancestors wanted the land and were better's an old story, as old as mankind...

Belushi American - Ackroyd Canadian. What a pair!! It's nice to hear patito that some Americans acknowledge that certain areas were taken away from the Mexicans by military force...a full circle for them. What is happening reminds me, for some odd reason, of Ghandi's saying "resistence without violence'. The Mexicans will slowly become the majority and a power to reckon with...all without firing a single shot. For too long, the while man has owned the majority of land, resources, water, etc, yet we are the minority. A great inbalance!

I only know the song from Belushi and Ackroyd singing it in The Blues Brothers. I was born yet to see the weekly showing of the series. Ha! Sorry I am a little bit in hit and miss mode on my comments lately. I have been a little too busy to verbally spar with you Patito. Of course I'm no wordsmith. I but I do enjoy trying. ??Ted?? Are you so riled you forgot his name?? That's funny

And by the way, the line from the Rawhide theme goes "HEAD 'em up, move 'em out", not "round 'em up, move 'em out." Mat seems to be telling us he believes illegal immigrants should be treated like livestock.

The presumption in comments like Ted's is that we here in the States have some kind of God-given right to this land, and the right to use whatever means necessary to keep it for ourselves, including violence .."America needs to lay a smack down on Mexico"...I don't know where Ted lives, but where you live and where I live were both taken away from Mexico by armed force..the Spaniards,in their turn, took it away from the original inhabitants by armed the decendants of those original inhabitants are taking it back, not by armed force, but simply by out breeding us...even if immigration were to be stopped dead Hispanics would still become the largest ethinc group in Texas and California well before the middle of this century...what goes around comes around..I'm not saying this is a good thing or a bad's just a demographic fact..we're seeing the re-Hispanization of large parts of the southwest and there isn't much anyone can do about it....xenophonic rants like Ted's may be effective ways to vent frustration and anger, but they're not going help the situation or make it go away...and I'd bet if Ted had been born in Chiapas or Morelos and couldn't find a job that would allow him to feed his family, he'd be wading the river too, or be right there in the trunk of that car with the rest of those guys......

Hey! Where in Mat's post was God and or Jesus mentioned? All I see is a reference to the theme song for the TV show Rawhide. You know that decent folks don't intentionally break the law. And now you are going to tell me that the law is a bad law and should be changed. Right? Okay, now vote in somebody who will change it. Or run for office your self and make a difference. Until then I will continue to support I.C.E. on rounding up the vagrants outside of the Home Depot.

That's right, God, we took this country from the Injuns fair and dare them greasy ol' Meskins ( who are largely of pre-Hispanic Indigenous blood, by the way ) think they gotta right to a decent livin' like us white their asses back across the border..Yessir, that's what Jesus would do, by God !!!

I like that line from an old western movie: "Round'em up... Move'em out". America needs to lay a smack-down on Mexico and put an end to this migration.

This pic is so sad, I can't take my eyes off of it. Wonder how cruel this world goes, there's a lot of people who died because of this and I constantly heard this story in my country.
