Damn right, Abe ! It's about time someone took a stand against the government and the public criticizing those hard-working and under-paid executives. Merrill Lynch, for example, under the brilliant guidance and leadership of its top executives, only lost 27 billion dollars in '08...the 700 employees who each got a milion bucks or more in bonuses clearly earned every penny for their great performance. New York state comptroller Tom DiNapoli says the securities industry paid its top executives over 18 billion dollars ( that's Billion, with a B )in bonuses last year in New York City alone. That's in addition to their salaries and other compensation. Who do the poor working stiffs out there whose tax money is bailing those companies out think they are, anyway, to be critical of such modest rewards for abject failure?
