Getting old is in my opinion, the cruelest thing that can(and will) happen to you, even to the wannabe clowns with their ignorant comments.
Think of all the things those two eyes have seen, all the sadness she experienced...getting old is not for sissies!
Being old sucks. Your own body turns on you. And what makes it worse is younger people look at you like your another species. Like your not even real or deserving of acknowledgement. Those same young people are in for a shock someday.
An aged queen still in her grace without a care in the world. What a great characterful face. Bless her! She looks to be in her late 90's, and all her servants have long since died, leaving no one to tend to her curly locks or clean the lenses of her glasses. But she still has the dignity of her crown held on by a hair clip.
