You are very welcome, Connie. I'm not that cluey about computers. I found out by accident how to change a bitmap to a jpeg file. I know that bitmap images take alot longer to download. As I said, because of me not being all that clever with computers, I'm not too sure why bitmaps take longer than jpeg files to download. Maybe someone else could answer that one. As to how to change a bitmap to a jpeg file, when I saved your pic of the fir cones, it saved as a bitmap. I saved the pic to my desktop. Then I clicked on the icon on the desktop and chose the little icon (second last one) underneath the picture next to the question mark. When you click on that, it goes to the 'paint' format. You then go to 'file', click that and choose 'save us'. Then underneath on the box that gives you the choices as to how you want the file saved as, where it has 'saved as type, you choose the 'jpeg' file. Then your picture is saved as a jpeg file. Hope I explained that properly to you. As I said, I'm not that good at computers and I'm not that good at explaining about them either. Thanks Connie...:)

Thanks for the feedback PictureGirl. If it's not too complicated for my little computer mind;-), could you tell me how do make a bitmap version into a jpeg file? I don't even understand those two terms.

That's exactly what I meant, Connie. When I go to a page of photos, yours are mostly the last of the pics to download on the page I have on my computer. When I tried to save one to put on my desktop, it gave me the bitmap version to save. But I've since fixed it up to make it a jpeg file.

I don't see any delay - maybe susan222 has some type of ancient dial up

No big deal susan222; I just didn't understand your comment at first. So, do you folks mean to say that when I upload my photos there is a blank space for a while? Thanks for letting me know. I did notice that the photos that I edit re size via the Paint program take longer to upload. But, I never realized that the delay would be noticeable to you folks. But, at least I now that I know how to use the Paint program to shrink some photosI don't keep posting black ebony ones ;-)

Jeez, I was only making an observation. This file is only about 1 and 1/2 million bytes smaller than the one Connnie uploaded. That's why it shows up on my screen a lot faster. That's all I was trying to say. The other poster is right. It's not important. Sorry I mentioned it.

Never mind, connie, Forget about it. It's not important anyway...

Don't worry about it...I'm sure you didn't do it on purpose. I was just joking about the sunglasses ;-)

My photos upload fairly fast. In this case, I posted this photo three days ago! So, I don't understand quite what you are saying. What does that have to do with how fast I photos take to load? As for susan222, it's probably a premium user hiding under a troll name.

Hi Connie, I think that susan222 might be meaning that sometimes, your pics can take just that little bit longer to load up on the page. I know that they do on my computer. The other posters' pics are already loaded, but at the time, a few of yours might still be loading up a minute or two later. I don't know if anyone else has that experience at all with your pics. Hope that explains things better for you... :)

Maybe because it took yours 50 years to load and he didn't want to wait around that long to see if it was the same as his;-)

I posted that photo about 3 days ago. How could you miss almost needs sunglasses to look at it ;-)
