It was a 17-year-old boy who killed 15 innocent people in Winnenden, Germany! HE was going to the classrooms and executed people and not alone his gun!

if guns kill people, then pencils mispell words, keyboards make me typo, cars make me speed, spoons made rosie o'donnell fat. crime is a behavior pattern, not an object.

if that's the case, then why is gun ownership nearly double what it was 25 years ago, yet violent crime is down nearly in half?

the second amendment guarantees the remainder of the amendments.

We've all heard that a person with a gun is a citizen and that a person without a gun is a subject. To me, it seems that if they can repeal the 2nd amendment just as easily as they repealed the 19th amendment, then they can just throw the entire constitution in the circular file. Governments prefer unarmed peasants for the exact same reasons that criminals prefer unarmed victims. Here in Arizona, any adult resident with no felony record can buy a gun, and violent crime is widespread, but the crimes are being committed against unarmed people. Look at what's going on in Australia. The people stood by and did nothing as the Government walked in and took their guns. Now the criminals have free reign. Gun ownership also means responsibility. If you don't want to own a gun, that's your right, but as long as criminals have guns, so will I.

the USA are to my mind a complex contry, based on discovering. I believe everything is possible there, for the better and the worse. And its chocking to see to what ends it can lead, in terms of idiocy, stupidity or what you want. I think. Therefore, about guns ... well some people think they can use it however they want, and kill people accidentaly or willing it

So what you're saying is we should take guns away from US citizens until they can live peacefully. Sounds fair to me.

Or have respect for human life.

There are some nations that have far more firearms than the US that are far more passive; some places actually issue weapons to all their citizens and have relatively low gun crime. Other places have a lot of weapons and have a very high violence rate (but those places usually also have an unstable government). I think in the end, taking away guns by itself is what we call treating the symptom and not the disease. Haven't you ever wondered why the US has such a high crime rate compared to other equally civilized (but less pent up) nations?

hate to bust your bubble, but criminals don't always "buy" their firearms legally....

Our 2nd amendment isn't going away..anyone who wants it gone lacks foresight.

but the more weapons are sold, the more they are abused...
