I know most people do not like this. And looking at such negative feedback, this last thing I would say... Is it yours that you are posting? Think. Are you posting to get higher rating or to share the feeling? Think. And at least, > If you are posting from a public assorted gallery, don't bother. > But if you are posting from a gallery that is exclusive to an artist, or from artist's own web site... give the original url and (at least) name of the artist.

Tell me, have you every created any original work yourself....?

Just some notes.... What I've put here is the most ideal way. You can modify it the way you want. This was put here mostly keeping mind some of those mega-uploaders with six-digit rating and four-digit submission count who receive lots of complaints from actual artists. I can understand that mailing/posting this type of note to the original artist is not always possible, even I don't do that. But if you are uploading a genuine piece of work, and many of them, then it is worth the effort. At least, we can be generous enough to post the real link when we are taking the photo from photographer's official site, or his/her exclusive gallery on sites like photo.net or so. Thank you for supporting this THE PIXDAUS ETHICS.

That'd be nice. I've added URLs to most of the ones I've posted[1], but some spamfilter or similar has removed them again, so I gave up doing that. It's hard enough to get people to add a description and a tag of the image, so getting mails to the copyright owner for all of them seems exceedingly optimistic... ([1] I say posted and not uploaded, since I technically just give pixdaus the URL, and I'm not breaking copyright by letting the Pixdaus server download and publish the content - it's not passing my computer to get there; Pixdaus will, however.)

Sorry about the typo in the sixth line...

Dear Sir: I am going to violate your copyright, and you have to jump through hoops to make me stop. I feel the law doesn't apply to me. Whatever.

I think about it, but you put it just perfect. If I could I gave you a 100 votes for this!
