My brother in law, born and raised in Germany (left at age 15) told me that his family and neighbours etc knew about the transportation of Jews to camps. Yet, they were not anywhere near a railroad. He told me to never believe anyone that says the German people did not know what was going on.

If Germany had had a leader who wasn't a drug addicted psychopathic anti-semetic racist they might have won the war.

Many of these German soldiers were unaware of what their government was doing behind the scenes until near the end of the war. Of course many who could have asked questions didn't, and they did their country a disservice by doing so. Remember that, patriots, next time you condemn someone for questioning the standard government propaganda.

Popplov's claims are almost certainly based on a a book by a Canadian novelist named James Bacque entitled 'Other Losses,' published in 1989. It has been extensively reviewed and discussed by historians, and the consensus is that although there was more mis-treatment of surrendered German POWs than has generally been acknowledged, that Bacque over-states the case and exaggerates both the severity of the mis-treatment and the number of deaths resulting from that mis-treatment. In fact however, despite the less-than-ideal treatment and circumstances of the surrendered German forces, those who fell into Allied hands were infinitely better off and more well-treated than those captured by the Soviets.

What are your sources? Are you saying 3,000'000 POW's died under allied internment in 6 days and Eisenhower of German desent, is guilty of genocide? Do you work for Bush?

Popolov, would you mind disclosing your source for all this?
