Thank you Skip. FBO has now seen it and commented below!

I thank all of you that have voted for this photo. Over the past 24 hours the vote total has climbed from +7 all of the way to +48, which is a lot more than I would have ever expected. The vote total is really not a concern, but it is very nice to know that my efforts in uploading are at least appreciated by some!

We all repost at some time or other in error, with some reposting without searching at all or even on purpose - that's not you. So, ignore the 'one-comment wonder'.

He paints reflections of the moon on water that look just like this photo. Try a google image search for "Edvard Munch moon" and you'll see what I mean :) Sorry for the abrupt first comment - wretched captcha keeps tripping me up!

Torrence, I am not sure what you mean by your statement that "most of what I post ....... was already posted anyway." I have posted 78 pictures and, to the best of my knowledge, only 3 have been reposts. I really think that this is better than the average. It seems that some of the "top" users have reputations for reposting and even for deliberate reposting. But I cannot attest to any of this. Reposting is regrettable, but I wouldn't regard it as the crime of the century. One of my reposts was pointed out to me by Connie, who posted the original. I thanked her for this, it was not something that I could have caught myself. Nobody else has pointed any out to me. One of them was a very early post of mine and I simply didn't check it out. The third was quite a bit more recent and I am entirely to blame for it. Still..... It takes quite a bit of time to analyze a photo and be certain that it has not been uploaded before. Especially if the original uploader did not tag properly and/or had spelling errors. I frankly do not have the time to spend in doing a thorough search for this as it would take hours per photo. If this is expected of me, I simply will no longer post.

I am always happy to receive constructive criticism, torrence, but when you comment with a brand new pseudonym I am not sure whether it is intended as constructive criticism or whether you are fulfilling a personal agenda. Torrence is a brand new user name that has never commented before and that has never voted or posted a photo either. Since you do seem to possess a little knowledge about Pixdaus, I must assume that you have another user name that would be better known.

I am sorry, CrystalM, but I can figure no connection with your comment. Outside of the name of a Norwegian painter that died in 1944, the name Edvard Munch is meaningless to me. Could you please explain?

Edvard Munch

not surprising, most of what you post are not nice pics and they were already posted anyways, but you still get lots of votes.

Beautiful blues,...has FBO seen this yet? :)

The downvoting on Pixdaus simply does not make sense to me. It should be eliminated. This photo was uploaded a short while ago and was quickly voted up to +14 and then, all of a sudden, it got struck with massive down-voting that has taken it down to +7 (a drop of seven points) and I simply cannot understand why. For a photo that initially received favourable votes to suddenly get downvoted by votes that required at least 3 people (if two of them were premium users).
