During the last big changeover, many people reported lost pics. I lost some then also. So perhaps they have been fiddling around with something new again. - What mom/kid pic? I don't recall ever seeing one. ;-) ;-)

You almost filled up my in-box you double poster you. ;-) I sent an e-mail to admin a few days ago. Have yet to get a response. I asked if they were adding more servers or doing maintenance and maybe the pics didn't survive the change over. I would not have noticed but I have been keeping a tab of my less than popular pics in a favorites folder on my browser. Like my Dick & Jane cartoon series and your favorite mom/kid on train tracks, etc... So who knows. I'll just have to repost them if they never return.

Blast it, I've posted 2 doubles today, and I clicked the box only once...

Ask Pixdaus why those comments were removed. They have to have good reason for removal of comments. - I know how and why the recent fake poppy's comments disappeared: I requested their removal because no-one but the real poppy should be allowed to write under the nick 'poppy'. Those comments were so vile and disgusting, and the fake posted porn in my name also. - Similarly, you have the right (and duty, almost) to request the removal of any comments made in your name by an impostor. If we allow the theft of our nicks, it will encourage more loonies to crawl out of the woodwork to do the same. There will always be Troll Wars, no doubt, but we don't have to just stand there and take it. Do we? ;-)

You should ask Pixdaus about the removal of the pics that were created or taken by you, because only you have the right to request removal. Perhaps some disturbed character (plenty of them here) wrote to them and said they were his/her pics and please remove them. Who knows? This place is a nuthouse at times.

I Don't Know is a good answer to a lot of questions, Abe..more of us ( myself included ) should probably use it more often.

I got the e-mails of all the comments made while I was at church. So I read all of yours and Time2Wakes but I have no idea where his have gone. I had a bunch a pictures that I had posted disappear. I noticed they had gone missing the other day. And got the "this picture has not found, it was probably removed" blah blah blah. Now if a few went missing I would have assumed the owners had found them and complained to admin and had them taken down. But I have had over thirty come up missing. Some of them were even created or taken by me. And ever since I started going to therapy I have learned to stop accusing myself of copyright infringement. So that leaves us with: I Don't Know.

Note: my 2nd and 3rd comments were made in response to comments made by a poster named Time2Wake..those comments have disappeared..anybody know how that happens ?

Some people understand that the ad you're talking about was sponsored by the Cato Institute, a conservative/libertarian organization. And some people understand that one could easily muster at least as many economists with credentials every bit as impressive who believe that not only is the stimulus neccessary but that it probably should be larger. And some people, who have been paying attention for the past several years, understand that conservatie economists like the ones who took out the ad have been telling us for years that deregulating financial markets would do wonders for growth, as would tax cuts for the wealthy and reductions in taxes on capital gains and dividends. We were told that the Wall Street geniuses creating those innovative finacial instruments knew what they were doing, and that increasing CEO's compensation to astronomical levels would be beneficial for corporate performance. Over the past several years virtually every conservative platitude became national economic policy. And what happened? It all came crashing to the ground. As it turns out, we now realize that those conservative economists ( like the ones who took out the ad ) didnt know their asses from a hole in the ground then, and they apparently haven't learned anything from their mistakes. Like the feller said, you can't fix stupid.

Speaking of free school. I heard on the local radio the other day that in L.A. County the graduation rate is around 50%. Who do you think is at fault for that? Teachers? Parents? Social Programs? Saturday Morning Cartoons?

I think what the study, which was done in 2004, is saying is that looking back it is easy to see the mistakes that were made. And how the depression could have been shortened. I know that hind sight for most us us is 20/20. But if we repeat the same mistakes where will that get us? And for your Abe Lincoln notation. I agree that Obama fooling the people won't much longer.

I've been gone all morning. What have I missed?

200 hundred economists from major Universities and Colleges take out full page ads in all the major newspapers at their own expense to warn people that the current administration's initial economic policies would do more harm than good. Only smart people get that. To quote a famous philosopher, "You can't fix stupid". Ron White

You sound exactly like all the other extremist, lunatic fringe nut cases I've encountered in the past sixty years...you're all, left, right, or religious, absolutely convinced you have a franchise on truth, knowledge and understanding, and anyone who doubts the validity of your Gospel, whatever it is, must be ignorant or a fool.

Ignorance is bliss ain't it.

Sorry, Pal..I don't have the time or inclination to chase all over the place looking at articles people want me to read ...make your case here in your own words or cash in your chips.

Funny you should say I quoted Lincoln when I didn't. I referred to a statement he made, which is not the same as a quote. And apparently you believe we were better off before free public education, when only the wealthy could afford to send their children to school.

The belief that FDR's policies were failures and/or that they prolonged the Great Depression is a rather extreme minority view among economists and historians. But what is beyond question is that the implementation of his policies provided real and immediate relief to tens of millions of persons and families who were in desperate need. As Abe Lincoln noted, it's hard to consistently fool the American people for any length of time..the ultimate wisdom of the electorate is a fundamental principle of democratic goverenment, and the American people elected and re-elected Franklin D. Roosevelt to four terms in office, then after his death voted to retain in office his vice-president, Harry Truman. Despite the blathering and blithering and philosophical nit-picking on the part of right-wing pundits and ideologists, the American people have realized that the Republicans have made a mess of things. And there is no better example of the extent and depth of the bankruptcy and vacuity of conservative thought in this country than the fact that Lush Rimjob has emerged as their de-facto leader and spokesman.
