Hey thanks for your help with the proper id of the jet guys. I know nothing about aviation. Wish I could figure out how to edit the image, but apparently I know even less about pixadus. Happy shooting..

The SJ on the tail is pretty clear as well. This jet is from Seymour Johnson AFB, North Carolina.

Let's try this again - engines between the vertical stabilizers = F-15. Engines directly under the vertical stabilizers = F-14. Vertical stabilizers in a sort of "V" shape = F-18. Learn the system - use the system - it works.

i wouldn't say the F-18 is smaller; but that's clearly an F-15

That's actually a US Air Force F-15E Eagle. The Navy's F-18 Hornet is a good deal smaller than the Eagle and its tail is very different.
