The Embara Indians are native to the highlands of Panama. This photo is from a village that has relocated up the Chagres River (in the Canal Zone) in order to benefit from tourism. The village must be reached either by paddling up the river or by helicopter, however the villagers are very friendly and welcoming to tourists as they put on quite a show and do all of this for tips and to sell a few craft items.
