If you only eat vegetables and plant matter, you are killing innocent vegetables, and raping the soil by leeching its precious nutrients from it for this selfish need to sustain your life.......Go dig a grave and lay in it.
Yes; the picture is cruel in one way... But in the other it shows just what life is all about: Eat or be eaten - kill or get killed... Law of the nature.
What is cruel about an animal's survival? At least the eagle isn't going to stuff that duck and hang it on its wall as a trophy like so many other "animals" choose to do with the things they kill. I think its a wonderful photograph. Raw nature...there is nothing better.
Even if you don't eat meat, but consume dairy products ( milk, cheese, yogurt, butter, ice cream ) you're underwriting and supporting a system that depends upon the killing of animals..same with eggs..
