I don't eat shark policy is to never eat anything that might potentially eat, no shark, no alligator, and no bear...if ever confronted by any of those critters in the wild I want to be able to look 'em in the eye with a clear conscience...

Well I've never had shark meat; and have no interest in it. But I have ate swordfish at a Ru Sans (Japanese restaurant). Toughest fish I've ever ate. I love seafood, but sharks whales, seals, sea lions and dolphins all need protection. I won't eat eat octopus either. They're too cute and intelligent. To me that would be like eating a dog. Anyway... Seeing that photo of the sharks head reminded me of winter 1980. I was walking down the beach (Myrtle Beach, SC) and seen a small sharks head that washed ashore. Obviously it had been attacked by another shark and didn't go back for the head. I guess it (the predator shark) just wanted a snack and the body was good enough. ???

Over a hundred million sharks are killed each year, world wide, mostly to provide fins for shark-fin soup... shark fins don't even taste very good but are considered by Asian men to be an aphrodisiac...several shark species are facing extinction if un-regulated fishing continues...
