logging in (pardon the pun) from here in Oregon. It is clear cut logging, it is not only renewable but replantation is required by law, 3 to 1, I believe. Roadsides belong to highway dept so are left uncut. Pretty much all of you, even the tree huggers, use wood for something. And you should-environmentally its one of the best ideas out there.

ud have to be an idiot if u couldnt see the clearing in some places

Look at the higher resolution picture. Most of what you said is NOT true. I see plenty of leaning trees, a fairly wide variety of sizes, and multiple species of trees.

Very straight trees. + A lot of access roads. + Very consistent size trees. + A single species of trees. = Plantation. Probably pine. Unless you're a hippy in which case it's probably murder.

Why this is fake: 1. The green of the trees along the road is different than the trees going across. 2. You can see where the trees along the road were cut out and feathered. 3. Where the road ends is completely unnatural. 4. It is not at all realistic that loggers would leave trees along the road. It would be more work for them. 5. Never trust a tree hugger!

This is so totally fake - and by the way - tree's grow back. Dumbasses.

Probably the trees left standing are on the highway right-of-way. Whatever the reason, the forests are here for our use, and replenish themselves. Very nice world we live in.

I doubt you're stupid enough to actually think that, so I won't even attempt a serious reply to such breathtaking inanity.

who gives a crap. it's a renewable resource. go plant a freaking tree. yawwwwwn.
2008-04-17 10:56:41
Right. "a crop that was planted for that purpose many years ago" my ass.

It has nothing to do with hiding the clearcut at all. F.U.D.

And you guys are full of it!!! When they clearcut, and Ive seen plenty of them here in the NW, thats the last thing on thier mind. They couldn't care less about what it looks like from the roadside because they have permits to harvest a crop that was planted for that purpose many years ago. Besides all that, you can see right through that thin line of trees. Explanation? How about a fence line they don't want to take down?

it aint just sad...thats purely asshole!
2008-04-17 05:29:56
Very true. I've noticed the way they do that too, it's sad.
