That's gotta be the one...Alfred von Wierusz-Kowalski...Polish painter....my Aunt Edith had a framed print of it..the poor old wolf up there on the hill in the cold and the dark, lookin' down at the snug little farm house with the lights in the window...my uncle told me the wolf was waitin' for the lights to out so he could sneak down there and steal him a chicken, and I used to hope he could get away with it....Google the artist's name and you'll find prints of it for sale, but nothing big enough to download and post here...
This reminds of that old picture of a wolf on a snowy hill overlooking a little village at night -I always thought it was scary -Does anyone remember that picture? I know it was a popular picture long long ago - My grandfather had it hanging in his farm house. Does anyone know the one I am talking about or who did it? - I haven't been able to find it
