Agree, the brave thing to do is to include the URL or at least name of the site...

Some of the most ambitious posters deliberately do not post the author names for this reason: the names are a gateway for other posters to find access to their sources! Each time I find a fresh source and mention the name of the photographer, I start seeing material of that author. That I don't mind, but do mind that they don't mention the author name. The Internet has millions of sources for pictures, and there's enough for all of us without jealously guarding 'new finds' and then not giving credit to the authors. It should not matter who posts what because we should all be here for one purpose only: to enjoy good pictures!

LogicSays: "Why do you people who complain about this always pick on the women to complain to?" -- Why, indeed? This is what we lady posters have always been wondering about. The male posters do whatever they like (like post porn and other undesirable material) and most of them do not mention the author names. Yet we ladies are constantly attacked for one thing or another. // When I made my first spelling error in a caption after I had already posted a few hundred pictures, a ton of bricks fell on me (!) while spelling errors were and are so apparent all over the darn place... In the Troll War, 2 male commentators were vilified by disgusting pics posted in their names, but 3 lady posters received the same treatment while all male posters were left alone! I am being constantly attacked for most trivial reasons and ridiculed for wanting to make Pixdaus a better place for all of us. Sometimes, when I merely say 'thank you' to someone, that comment is minused out of sight! // Back to the author names: Thank you, LogicSays, for your support in this matter! About time that other people started talking about some of the unfair and unwarranted attacks that some of us lady posters have to suffer almost on a daily basis.

It's a beautiful photo lilly. If I know the photographer's name I use it; sometimes I can't find it. I agree with you; it's a wonderful way of seeing the world. Keep posting.

I do like to give credits to the photographers , they are the one's who took the photo , not me . Not everyone here has been o france or the alps , just great photos so others can enjoy . 99 % are from the internet . And it's best when one does give credits . So just enjoy a look around the world without the expense...

INSTEAD OF COMPLAINNING OF THE THOUSANDS OF PICTURES THAT ARE UPLOADED DAILY BY PEOPLE WITHOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHERS NAMES! IT SEEMS LIKE INCLUDING THE NAME OF THE PHOTOGRAPHER IS SHOWING RESPECT AND GIVING CREDIT TO THE PHOTOGRAPHER. SO WHY DO THEY CONTINUE TO HARASS THE PEOPLE WHO ARE CONSIDERATE ENOUGH TO INCLUDE THEIR NAMES?

RALPH M IS GOING AROUND COMPLAINING TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO INCLUDE THE PHOTOGRAPHERS NAMES

Everyone who post's here post someone else's photographs! the very tiny minority who post their own can jump on here and say so but they will not because they are almost non existent here. Why do you people who complain about this always pick on the women to complain to? are you afraid to confront the men?

WHY are you posting someone else's photographs?
