You are very welcome, Jujuba. Boy, you really went all out to get to speak to them, didn't you ? I for one appreciate your efforts in doing it that way... :)

Oh cool...yeah that definitely helps, I used to try to find out the real name of the photgrapher, then try to look for their e-mail somehow (in websites other than Flickr if they didnt have it specified there) and then write them from my e-mail address - too much work :-| This is definitely more practical, thanks girl :-)

I go to their photo near their screen name and left click on that and go to 'Send Flickrmail' when it shows up a list of different choices there and get a special page to speak to them. I receive notification of a message back from them, in my personal email address. I used to write in the comments, but I didn't like others knowing what I wanted to do with their picture. Hope that helps, Jujuba.... :)

Do you use any special tool at Flickr itself to contact the photographers or you use e-mail as well?

Oh yes, I most certainly know that asking permission takes time and as you say, to search, email them and then wait till they give you the OK or knock you back. At Flickr, they just about answer you straight away, which is great. Looks like asking the photographers is the way to go. Thankyou, Jujuba. Take care... :)

Thanks Mary :-) Yeah, I was also having a little bit of a hard time finding good photos under the CC - it was taking too much of my now, I´ve been mostly uploading 'all rights reserved' pictures with the permission of the photographers, and that´s why I´ve been posting them less frequently. Cause it takes some time - to search, to e-mail them, wait for an answer - you know right? ;-) I guess maybe you should do the same - with the photos you have already and with the next ones you find...

You have posted some very wonderful pictures today, Jujuba. I on the other hand are having trouble finding some pics to post. I found some really beautiful ones, but they are either 'all rights reserved' or where they do not want the picture to be used commercially, but still under the Creative Commons License. I'll just have to keep on plugging along. And I guess I can always ask the photographer about the 'all rights reserved' photos. I'm bound to find something soon enough... :)
