Ol' Abe Outs is pullin' your legs again, folks..this is actually a shot of a life-sized model radio controlled condor..there's a club out in California whose members build very realistic models of birds equipped with small electric motors and r/c devices...they meet regularly and fly their birds just like model airplane enthusiasts do...you gotta watch ol' Abe Outs..the rascal likes tellin' outlandish stories he's made up, just to see if he can get people to believe 'em....
With a wingspan of 9 feet, it is difficult to get the entire bird in the frame when it flies past 25 feet from you. All California Condors have number tags and telemetry devices to allow researchers to keep track of this endangered species. Photo taken during a workshop with incredibletravelphotos.com
